I am a Bahamian who discovered a passion for short-term rentals by chance while marketing family properties in Nassau, Bahamas on Airbnb. I subsequently took the real estate licensing exam and am now fulfilling my dream of moving to the Islands of Abaco. Having spent most of my childhood holidays in Treasure Cay, Abaco, I believe I know Treasure Cay better than I know most people! I grew up exploring the trails and lanes of Treasure Cay by bike, and hold the view that every property on the crescent-shaped isle is unusually beautiful and special. Even after having travelled extensively for both business and pleasure, from Turkey to Ecuador, I still maintain it is the most peaceful, natural, pristine place on earth. I now live in Treasure Cay with my husband, property manager Carl Carter, who is also a boat captain & owner of Blue Water Charters (https://abacoboatcharters.com/) and my three sons, Callum, Elias & Ethan. We enjoy cruising the waters of the Abacos, snorkelling and fishing. My hobbies are yoga, walking, cycling, cooking and reading, in particular historical novels. Having passed the real estate exam in May 2018 and received my salesman’s license in October 2018, I am happy to be working for Kerry Sullivan Real Estate and hope to expand on the sales, rental & management service offerings in Treasure Cay. So far I am really enjoying the opportunities to access market research via the MLS and deepen my understanding of the industry specifically here in Abaco. I look forward to using my insight and experience to facilitate sales & rental transactions with efficiency & attention to detail. With an academic background in Caribbean History and the Law & many years of writing & teaching experience, I believe these skills integrate well with the real estate profession.
In the past year I have completed 3 training courses which have markedly enhanced my skills as a real estate agent:
1. Transforming Difficult Situations into Profitable Deals (RRC - Residential Real Estate Council)
2. Technologies to Advance your Business (CRS)
3. Recruiting for Success & Performance Leadership (CRB)
