Real Property Tax Forgiveness Program

Foreign owners of property in The Bahamas can now receive a 100% waiver on any surcharges if their accounts are paid in full by 31 May, 2021.  Contact rptforgive@bahamas.gov.bs or 242-225-5778 (CALL-RPT) for balance inquiries, tax certificate requests and proof of payment information. 

Bahamians who own property in the Family Islands are already real property tax exempt.
